Recent changes to tourism in NZ have required us to alter the accommodation on offer to guests here at Jugglers Rest. We currently offer two beautiful garden cabins available for casual, short-term stays.
In addition to these we currently have three separate double rooms in our beautiful heritage villa which are available for a longer stay boarding situation. There is a minimum of a months stay required here to book the rooms in the house: Please contact us directly to discuss your needs.

Jugglers Rest…
Jugglers Rest first started operating as a backpackers 25 years ago in the then kiwi style of backpackers – bunk accommodation with a base sheet and a pillow! Over the years Jugglers Rest has maintained its friendly, creative atmosphere and added oodles of comfort and ambience into the mix.
Fitting with the changing face of travelling and backpacking we have gently moved into the boutique accommodation sector and in line with modern trends we now sell our rooms not just through our own website platform but those of other global companies.

We are perfectly located to take advantage of the stunning Marlborough Sounds: Kayaking, Nature tours, Dolphin viewing and swimming, world renowned vineyards, mountain biking & walking, The 70km Queen Charlotte Track and a rich history of Maori and pioneer settlement including the historical ship, The Edwin Fox which transported them.

Our lovingly renovated historic villa and garden cabins are an easy 10 minute stroll or 3 minute drive from the centre of town.
Small and cosy with all beds fully made up we provide every comfort for your stay including:

Situated in a quiet residential area, far enough to avoid the noise of the port and trains, but close enough to easily access all pretty little Picton has to offer by foot, our location gives you the best of both worlds.
With shady decks, comfy chairs, bean bags, hammocks and sunny chill-out areas in lush gardens, either relax, play, learn, or simply sit back & absorb the amazing ambience and peaceful tranquility here!
There are walking tracks right outside the door in the beautiful Esson Valley, where glowworms can be seen at night, and we can help arrange trips out into the beautiful Marlborough Sounds and Marlborough’s famous award winning vineyards.
